Creativity feeds my soul. Drawing, painting, cooking and decorating have all brought that sense of contentment at different stages of my life. In 2002 I discovered the wonders of stained glass and a kiln. This medium was magical to me as I found that through manipulating the glass with heat, I could "paint" with the glass. I have focused much of my art on creating stained glass mosaic pieces where I have been able to create wonderful dimension by fusing the glass prior to a mosaic application. Flowers with petals layered upon petals, and leaves overlapping brought the pieces to life for me. A typical vase will have up to a thousand pieces of individually cut and kiln fired glass petals and leaves.

After taking a fused glass jewelry course, I was fascinated with the concept of wearable art. I was introduced to dichroic glass and fell in love with the nature of the glass. I was able to bring the look of my larger scale mosaic pieces into a pendant form. Each piece is special and truly unique. It is always exciting for me to unload a kiln after firing a group of pendants to see the final result. It is not always what I envisioned as I am creating the piece, but sometimes I am lucky and it is even better!!

Whether it is a larger scale vase or panel, or a smaller pendant or pair of earrings, each piece is uniquely individual and one of a kind. I hope you enjoy my work and will check back often as I continue to explore this wonderful medium.
